MedTech Hack is a 24-hr medical device hackathon. ANY Georgia Tech student can sign-up for free and there are no application questions.
Teams will prototype their medical device idea based on a specific track of their choice (see Designs section). Each teams can have 3-5 group members. Please visit the Logistics section in order to find specific guidelines and important due dates (including the sign-up deadline).

November 22nd, 2022 - Registration deadline

January 14th - 27th, 2023 - Optional workshops for hardware/software skills (specific dates/times TBA)

January 15th, 2023 - Purchase requests for prototyping due

January 28-29, 2023 MedTech Hack - Starts at 12:00pm with prototyping lasting for 24 hours

January 29, 2023 - Judging of prototypes in the afternoon
Guidelines
-
Teams submit purchase requests for prototyping materials by Jan 15th (materials/electronics free for teams)

3-5 people per team (we recommend at least one Biomedical Engineering student per team)

1st Place Winners for each design track (see below) will win $250 and potential internship/full-time interviews

2nd and 3rd Place Winners from each track will win $100

The opening and closing ceremonies will be held in the Molecular Science and Engineering Building (MoSE)

Workspace rooms will be designating for teams in the MoSE building and the U.A Whitaker classrooms (more information coming soon)

Who can participate? Any experience required?
ANY Georgia Tech student! Your major does not matter. No experience required (there will be optional workshops if interested in January)!
Are there any additional costs?
None at all! Materials will be given on the day of the hackathon based on team choice.
How do I sign-up?
Visit the Home page for the sign-up link. You can create you own teams, or there is an option in the application to ask for random team assignment.
